Fall weddings are some of our favorites and Destiny and Geoffrey’s beautiful Hames Hall wedding did not disappoint! Hames Hall is located in the heart of South Georgia and was built in 1950 by the only doctor in the area. Dr. Curtis Hames. He was a world-famous heart doctor and left behind a legacy with Claxton, GA and the surrounding community. A portrait of his wife Betty hangs above the fire place in the banquet hall. The new owners kept the original name for this amazing wedding venue.
While a first look wasn’t their original plan they opted to do one since the sun would set very soon after their ceremony. It was clear they made the right decision when they saw each other! Nerves settled down and the smiles and laughter filled the rest of the day! These two couldn’t be anymore perfect for each other. Ladies, get you a guy that makes you laugh like Geoffrey makes Destiny laugh!
Destiny and Geoffrey had a beautiful traditional tiered cake but also asked different friends and family to bring their specialty cakes. This was a crowd pleaser and made for an amazing cake wall verses the usual cake table.
Another unique idea, Destiny asked each of her bridesmaids what their favorite flowers were and each one had a special bouquet. The brides bouquet was a mixture of each of the flowers her bridesmaids had picked. How unique and thoughtful! It’s always fun to see a brides vision come to life, Destiny’s fall wedding at Hammes Hall was simply stunning.
