It’s hard to believe I started photographing weddings more than 20 years ago! My love for photography began when my dad gave me my first Nikon camera at fifteen. I took it everywhere, always looking for the moments and stories worth remembering. In 2002, that lifelong hobby became a career when I left my full-time dental hygiene job to build 5D Photography.

From the beginning, my vision for 5D was bigger than being a solo photographer. After years of photographing weddings on my own, I saw how much stronger the experience could be with a team approach—photographers who share the same commitment to genuine moments, beautiful imagery, and taking great care of the people who trust us with their memories.

Watching that vision grow over the years has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Today, I love seeing the next generation of 5D Photography continue what we started, while I remain an important part of the team and the relationships we’ve built with our clients.

Beyond weddings, I especially love photographing families, seniors, and in-home lifestyle sessions. Getting to document our clients through different seasons of life—and often watching their families grow—is still one of my favorite parts of what I do.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, snuggling with my adorable pup, buying entirely too many plants, perfecting a new espresso recipe, or planning our next vacation.

At the heart of 5D Photography has always been connection. I love getting to know our clients, hearing their stories, and creating photographs that feel like them.

the team

Caleb is a Lead Photographer at 5D Photography and an integral part of the creative team. Having grown up surrounded by photography and filmmaking, storytelling through images has been part of his world for as long as he can remember.

A graduate of Savannah Arts Academy’s film program, Caleb brings a filmmaker’s eye to wedding photography, looking beyond the obvious moments to capture the movement, emotion, energy, and little interactions that make every wedding unique. He has photographed weddings alongside the 5D team for years and has developed a style and perspective all his own.

And yes, Caleb is Lisa’s son! Photography has truly become a family business, and seeing him grow from the kid who was always surrounded by cameras into one of 5D Photography’s lead photographers has been a pretty incredible part of our story.

When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll probably find him fishing, kayaking, or working on his latest wood working project.

Anna brings more than 16 years of wedding photography experience to 5D Photography and has been part of our team since 2018. From the beginning, she was a natural fit, not only because of her experience behind the camera, but because she immediately felt like part of the 5D family.

With years of experience documenting wedding days, Anna has a wonderful ability to anticipate moments as they unfold and capture the people, emotions, and little details that make each celebration unique. Her calm, caring personality makes her someone you’ll love having alongside you on a wedding day.

When she isn’t behind the camera, Anna is a pediatric nurse, wife, and mom to four beautiful children. Caring for people comes naturally to her, and that warmth is one of the many things that makes her such a special part of our team.

GET TO KNOW us

our why

our approch

you are our top priority

We approach the wedding day as a TEAM.  With so many moving parts we find having two photographers and an assistant ideal for large weddings. This allows us to divide and conquer the day and it maximizes your photography time.

The moments leading up to your wedding are just as important as the wedding itself. It's important to us to make ourselves available to you as you plan out your wedding. It's in the planning of your wedding that we are able to insure we have the right amount of time to capture all the things that matter most to you.

We believe that your wedding photos should be as unique to you as a couple and as individuals. As unique as each wedding is, our goals remains the same: to create beautiful images that stand the test of time and to give our couples, their families and their guests an exceptional experience.

After photographing more than 400+ weddings over the past several years, we’ve really come to value the unexpected, intimate moments that take place on a wedding day.
The hug your mom gives you before you leave your dressing room. The tear that falls down his cheek when he sees you walking towards you during your first look. The way the two of you lean your heads together during the toasts.

This day is about more than the flowers and the shoes you chose. It’s about celebrating the start of a new family. It’s an honor to play a part in such a significant day and we hope you’ll choose us to be a part of yours!

Engagement sessions prepare you for your wedding day!

Engagement sessions are a great time for us to get to know each other and for you to practice your posing for wedding day! Couples who do an engagement session seem to be more relaxed on wedding day during their portraits.

bridal sessions are another great trial run!

Having a trial for your hair and make up? Consider doing a bridal session afterwards to see how it all photographs. It also relieves some of the pressure on wedding day knowing you already have lots of great bridal portraits.
